  1. General Race Rules

    EACH DRIVER NEEDS A RACE ENTRY FEE PLUS PIT PASS.

    EACH TUNER OR SPECTATOR NEED A PIT PASS.

    For any class to qualify for a championship, that class needs to have at least 4 drivers race in at least 4 races.

    (Excluding Kid Karts)

    OGP Drivers are excluded from points championships and awards. Drivers include: Jeremy Fletcher and Zachary Hollingshead.

    Classes include, but are not limited to Kid Karts, Briggs 206, IAME and ROK/Vortex. We will combine classes when necessary and score each class separately. We welcome any and all karts designed to run on asphalt/ concrete, including oval karts.

    Welcome to the Ocala Gran Prix Local and Rotax Series

    • The Ocala Gran Prix Local series uses the WKA Manufactures Cup rules and points format
    • All spec 110 and C12 fuel must be purchased from Ocala Gran Prix
    • All 4 - cycle classes and kid karts using 90 ethanol free fuel must purchase it from Ocala Gran Prix
    • Honda Shifter classes Spec Fuel is VP110
    • ROK Shifter Spec Fuel is C12
    • All IAME and ROK Classes use spec fuel C12
    • Tag classes use TAGUSA rules.
    • Kid Karts use WKA Manufactures Cup Rules
    • Ocala Gran Prix Local series uses NKA Insurance and the event is in no way affiliated with WKA
    • 50 bonus points for running all races in a series.
    • There is one drop allowed per series, excluding those racers going for the scholarship.
    • THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IS ABSOLUTELY PROHIBTED IN ALL OCALA GRAN PRIX EVENTS UNTIL THE EVENT IS DECLARED FINISHED FOR THE DAY.
    • PROTEST FEE: $75.00. Refunded if the call is overturned.
    • PROTEST TIME LIMIT: You have 30 minutes after the race you want to protest to file an official protest.
    • After the time limit protests will not be accepted.
    • IAME Tires - Mini and Micro will use MG Red. Junior, Senior, Master and up will use MG Yellow
    • Rok classes to use YLR for Spec Tire
    • ROK JUNIOR SHIFTER - Age: 12-15 years old Weight: 350 pounds
    • All Transponders ALL Classes must be mounted to the back of the seat per CIK rules.
